We are seeking an analyst level candidate to join our Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Team who demonstrates the ability to think critically, exhibit sound judgment and thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this capacity, you will contribute to developing the business intelligence capabilities and deliverables for the Shareholder Services organization.

Within GSAM, Shareholder Services is a global sales aligned service organization that provides high quality service and solutions to shareholders. Through their client service model, Shareholder Services enables distribution of GSAM investment products, provides consultative services, scale and controls, all with a focus on being accretive financially to the business.
Within Shareholder Services, the Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Team is responsible for data strategy, reporting, and analytics across Shareholder Services' global operations. Key deliverables will entail process automation, operational analytics/KPIs, and business reporting.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
As a member of the Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Team, you will be responsible for a wide range of data analysis and business intelligence solutions.
Functional Responsibilities include:
  • Improving business & operational processes through codified automation and controls
  • Developing and supporting the business intelligence codebase owned within Shareholder Services
  • Owning the subject matter expertise behind the data and systems that underpin operational workflows
  • Resolving production issues impacting analytics and reporting deliverables
  • Partnering with Technology on improving our data and reporting capabilities
  • Partnering with Shareholder Services business areas on identifying and scoping BI solutions
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or related field.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Skills:
  • 2+ years of business experience with at least one year in the data science/business intelligence functional domain
  • Experience in working with relational databases and SQL
  • Experience in Python
  • Experience in Tableau or similar reporting tool platform
  • Ability to multi task while working under pressure. Managing multiple critical projects at a time along with daily production issues.
  • Ability to explore large datasets and understand/explain how data points directly relate to business processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exhibits sound judgment and integrity
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Git
  • Experience in Alteryx or similar workflow tool platform
