My client is a Global Investment Bank and Advisory Firm, specialising in international midmarket M&A. They are currently looking to bring on a Generalist M&A Associate for their team in London, to thrive in a high-growth environment and contribute to their continued EMEA expansion.

The Associate will be part of a company where the work culture and outstanding client service is encouraged from leadership down. The London office is headed up by MDs from EB backgrounds, looking to provide mentorship to the new team member as they grow in seniority. Highly ambitious individuals will succeed, as the position offers great progression, with the view that the right candidate will be promoted to VP within the next 12 months.

Role:
  • Perform industry and company research
  • Analyse a mix of buy & sell side
  • Perform valuation analyses
  • Prepare market research and marketing materials, including pitch books, teasers, confidential information memorandums, management presentations etc.
  • International deal flow with a number of cross-border transactions
  • Attend meetings and / or calls with clients
  • Drive live transaction processes in conjunction with senior bankers
  • Strong experience in advising companies in the TMT and Maritime sectors.
  • Support junior bankers on deals
  • Assist middle market mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and special situations


Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-6 year's previous experience, in an M&A focused role
  • Team player with high performance ethos, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
  • Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance and valuation principles
  • Financial modelling, analytical, problem solving and research skills
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Right to work in the UK
