The role:

M&G are looking for a RFP Writer to join the team on a fixed term basis of 12 months to aid with the proactive identification and updating of product text and collateral to reflect changes in both RFPs/DDQs and our RFP Library. This is due to moving funds from SFDR Article 6 to align with SFDR Articles 8 & 9. This person will be working with other members of the RFP Team and Product Specialists where necessary.
We anticipate an increased interest in these funds as a result of their move to more of an ESG focus. Therefore, the role will support the RFP Team in the production of resulting RFPs, DDQs, RFIs and any other opportunities or requests.

This is a great opportunity to develop writing skills, and broaden product and ESG knowledge, whilst working alongside a talented and supportive team. The team is split across both London and Edinburgh locations and this role is open to consider applicants from either location.

Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Predominantly responsible for the Identification and updating of text affected by the switch to SFDR Art. 8 & 9
  • Assist in the production of RFPs, DDQs, RFIs, awards submissions, institutional competitive research and surveys
  • Expected to work across both Wholesale & Institutional opportunities
  • Proactively contribute to the overall team strategy
  • Ensure that team processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Assist in the training of new team members on M&G funds/systems/processes
  • Motivated to learn about the needs of our clients - be they internal M&G stakeholders or the investors in our funds
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G's operational risk.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience of working in asset management in an RFP role and willingness to learn about Investments
  • Experience working with various stakeholders and the ability to build good working relationships by understanding needs and requirements
  • Proficient in the MS Office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to write for multiple audiences and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and control multiple priorities and competing deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of RFP Databases (RocketDocs, Qvidian, etc.) would be beneficial
