I am currently working with a well known retail bank, who are hiring for an experienced senior manager to join them on six month contract to cover maternity leave.

The role will take responsibility for the management of the banks real time capital and funding position and preparing future projections, as well as playing a key part in a wide range of activities across internal to external reporting, stress testing, ICAAP, ILAAP, risk management and forecasting.

A key selling point about this role is while for a London based candidate a day a week in the office would be preferable, they are equally happy to be open on location and consider the role as a remote position too. Please note, you will still have to be UK based with an existing citizenship or visa/right to work, as the business are not able to provide sponsorship.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the bank stays within its risk appetite and has sufficient capital and liquid assets to support BAU activity and potential stresses.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of the ICAAP and ILAAP including stress testing analysis and document preparation.
  • Support the delivery of the Recovery plan and reverse stress testing exercise.
  • Produce accurate and timely management information required for Board and ALCo reporting.
  • Provide ALCo Secretariat cover.
  • Support the risk culture in Treasury through risk processes, enhanced risk and compliance capabilities and timely resolution of identified issues.

What you'll need...
  • Capital, Funding and Liquidity background within a financial services institution.
  • Knowledge of Capital, Funding and Liquidity regulatory framework applicable to TSB.
  • Knowledge of Recovery and Resolution Planning framework applicable to TSB.
  • Analytical and numerate with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and develop strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Professional finance qualification e.g. Accountancy, CFA, ACT

Whilst the team would ideally like to hire this role on an 6 month FTC basis, for the right candidate they would also consider a PAYE/umbrella company contractor for the position too. It is however worth noting that the businesses FTC benefits are very good and inclusive of prorated bonus/car allowance too, which wouldn't be applicable to a day rate contractor.
