In this role, you will:
  • Understand the changing regulatory requirements outside the domestic US market and how that affects the funding and capital needs of the legal entities domiciled in EMEA and APAC and recommend strategy for achieving compliance in a cost effective manner. Ensure the structural liquidity position of all EMEA and APAC legal entities, through evaluation of appropriate limits, targets ratios and appropriate liquidity metrics. This will include the evaluation of annual funding and liquidity plans.
  • Ensure timely contingency funding plans are in place for all countries, and the stress testing is appropriate and compliant with the local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and global regulatory capital, liquidity and balance sheet requirements through the appropriate control and governance framework.
  • Manage a robust ALCO process across the region including management of the EMEA Regional ALCO and oversight of the country ALCO's.
  • Drive strategic decisions around current and future balance sheets and the respective capital deployed within EMEA and APAC.
  • Be familiar with a broad array of financial markets including, but not limited to, fixed income, hybrid capital, foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives.
  • Monitor market conditions and recommend specific opportunities to management that will optimize performance metrics.
  • Develop relationships with senior management, internal users of funding and capital and the financial community.
  • Understand GAAP and IAS differences as they relate to debt, and hedging of the interest rate risk and currency components.
Required Qualifications
  • Considerable experience in the financial institutions funding markets or related experience
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework within liquidity, capital and recovery/resolution planning.

    • Motivation and team leadership skills
  • MBA or CFA Experience in Treasury
