Our client is a private investment company, established in 1995, who are also looking to expand their finance team. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the production of timely and accurate financial and management information across a portfolio of contracts, assisting where necessary to enable them to make well informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reconciliations, monitoring, financial analysis and review of transactions monthly.
  • Produce quarterly management accounts and annual budgets for each entity.
  • Perform any other required administration for these companies e.g., banking, service charge statements, cash placements
  • Prepare statutory financial statements, complete corporation tax returns and manage the audit process.
  • Assist in maintaining the necessary relevant records, charts of accounts and systems in respect of the housing providers.
  • Provide valuable and relevant management information to enable the Boards of each entity to make informed decisions.
  • Working collaboratively with others to provide a comprehensive service to each entity, including assisting with customer enquiries when relevant.


Requirements
  • Practical knowledge/experience of statutory reporting and management accounts. At least 2+ years of experience.
  • Prior experience in Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience in working in a private investment company is desirable.
  • Proven and applied knowledge and understanding of regulations relating to statutory accounts is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven business partnering experience
  • Good time management skills and ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with solid commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Experience in data analysis, problem solving, and customer service is desirable.
  • Strong academic background, either AAT/ACCA qualified, or part qualified and studying towards a full accounting qualification.
  • IT literacy in MS Office is essential. Advance knowledge of Excel for reporting and monitoring is desirable.
