We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Learning Specialist

Role Purpose/Responsibilities:

The Organisational Capability Consultant is responsible for supporting the Programme Leads to scope and manage a portfolio of business agnostic: Group learning academies, talent programmes, career development tools and propositions organised around key skills, domains and talent segments:
  • Develop solutions through an academy approach focussing on key areas such as Wealth, Agile, Sales, Personal Skills etc.
  • Provide strategic specialist Organisational Capability support for GB/GF strategic priorities e.g. BWOT, AWT, FoFL (expectation min 30% of time)
  • Develop career and talent development programmes
  • Learning provides learning and development solutions in support of business strategy under the name HSBC University
  • Learning provides development solutions across a wide range of areas. This includes enterprise areas such as Ris and Leadership as well as technical academies that support the development of skill in areas such as agile, personal skills, sales, digital and data skills etc
  • Learning solutions refers to a full range of resources, platforms, online, virtual class and face-to-face learning
  • The learning Specialist role is an existing role that is supported by GP Strategies funded by HR budgets
  • Learning Specialists report to the relevant Programme Director/Specialist Head who provide day to day guidance and support.


Role Dimensions
  • To develop HSBC's learning culture specifically balancing learner access to learning (pull) and learning required by HSBC (push)
  • To lead solution and needs identification, scoping of needs and engagement with the business
  • Provides expertise in how learning supports business and personal performance
  • Guides leaders on how to fully utilise learning within HSBC
  • Manages the performance of learning solutions using data and insights to improve
  • Upholds operational standards including those for governance, financial control, third party and operational risk, design and inclusion


Experience
  • Deep technical subject matter expertise in organisational capability including external trends and developments
  • Experience of project management and coordinating delivery through others
  • Experience of working in a large matrix organisation, ideally international
  • Demonstrates awareness of other HR disciplines e.g. hiring, talent, performance management, diversity & inclusion and reward, and how they interplay with learning solutions
  • The role requires a sound understanding of a value unit / product / region / legal entity, alongside a good understanding of the industry and the challenges and changes in the sector.
  • Covers a wide range of activities that require complex judgements based on advanced analytical thought. Problems often require an innovative approach, based on extensive research
  • Develops new and adapts existing processes for increased quality and efficiency whilst encouraging others to seek new ideas/solutions to day to day problems.
  • The role requires the ability to negotiate and influence within their team with a high level of influence.
  • Developed different learning modalities and assets including film, animation, e-learning and classroom
  • Adapted learning for different business environments and /or locations and / or cultures
  • Delivered learning in a complex, large stakeholder network
  • Worked with subject experts and vendors to deliver learning
