Sales Support / Marketing Administrator - Diverse Boutique Alternative Asset Manager

Circa £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary plus bonus and employee benefits

The Opportunity:
  • My client is a boutique Asset Manager, independently owned, innovative and ambitious. This will be a diverse role supporting the sales process and a range senior Salespeople, along with other key stakeholders

  • Reporting to / working closely with the Partner responsible for the leadership of the Sales team, this newly created role will predominantly support the London based sales team, along with some additional support to the sales professionals in both Germany and Spain (circa 7 Salespeople in total)
  • This highly experienced Sales team have been responsible for raising over €3bn from wholesale and institutionally minded investors across Europe
  • Through my client's continued growth, they are looking to expand their footprint and investor base across Europe, and beyond. This planned growth therefore requires more resource to support their Sales team, service their clients and facilitate the growth. This is therefore an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to join a growing business
  • The role is focused largely on the production of a range of marketing collateral and may include regular and ad hoc client reporting requirements
  • Additionally, you will assist with the co-ordination and preparation of a range of marketing materials, including monthly fund factsheets, presentation materials, roadshow itineraries and feedback reports
  • You will work with the Events team to co-ordinate and organise quarterly client calls held with investors/prospects as well as assisting with other relevant events and conferences that my client's funds participate in
  • Take a lead working with a range of software systems including Salesforce (CRM), (marketing), Cvent (events) and Absolute Hedge (research database) with a view to making the Sales team as productive as it can be
  • Your focus on Salesforce will be particularly key, ensuring the information saved is accurate and up to-date. Through this you will be able to proactively generate reports that will directly help the sales teams activity
  • Attend client meetings when required (virtually or in person), and be an additional point of contact for key investors, particularly when the sales team are travelling
  • More administrative tasks may include minute taking from weekly and monthly meetings, along with assisting with booking their travel, coordinating meetings, expenses and other ad hoc requests

Your Experience:
  • You will possess a strong record of academic achievement and be able to demonstrate a clear interest in the Asset Management industry
  • Ideally you will have been working in the asset management industry and be able to leverage off similar experience i.e. supporting fund sales professionals with the production of marketing / client focused collateral, supporting them with client focused support including Events and investor contact and support - it is fine if this role represents a "step-up" in your development. However, this is not a role for somebody looking for a steppingstone into "fund sales" in the short to medium term
  • You must be a highly organised, self-motivated, and personable individual, and be willing to roll-up your sleeves. If you're seeking a narrow role this is not the one for you!
  • Additionally, you will possess excellent attention to detail, proven communication skills (both verbal and written), along with some project management skills and the ability to deliver work in a timely manner
  • It is also expected this you will be competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and preferably have worked with Salesforce
