2023 is an exciting year for technology professionals to join CME Group following the recent $1bn equity investment from Google. CME Group has also agreed a long-term partnership with Google to migrate our technology infrastructure to Google Cloud in a visionary partnership to transform the global derivatives markets through technology.
Our Belfast Technology and Support Services Centre was established in 2012 and has grown to a team of over 250 talented technology professionals. We currently have an opening for a Systems Engineer to join our Enterprise Server Platforms Team based in Belfast.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious graduate or early career IT professional with a solid understanding of Linux or Windows Operation Systems. Hands on experience of Windows/Linux server deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting is advantageous, however equally important is your ability to learn, develop and progress.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Analyses requirements with supervision and supports existing development/QA platforms; Documents deployment and configuration procedures.
• Defines simple problems and describes the cause-and-effect relationship; Gathers and compares data about the problems with supervision and documents the details.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic systems (Linux/Windows), distributed computing architecture (client server, intranet/internet), h/w platforms, and resources - CPU, memory, end-user devices, peripherals.
• Troubleshoots simple, known issues with support; Works with supervision to document problem resolution.
The role presents an excellent opportunity for career development and progression during an exciting time of growth at CME Group.
Please note that this role covers Sunday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.30pm, with minimal requirement for out of hours work.
