Role & Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a process to oversee the valuation of private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate assets, including the review and challenge of the valuations produced by external managers and third-party valuers, and resolution of any issues arising.
• Engage with key stakeholders as the main point of contact in respect of valuation queries, including external fund managers, Group finance and external Group and Unit Trust audit teams
• Responsible for reporting and presentations to relevant Boards and committees on topics concerning private asset valuations.
• Develop and maintain the Fair Value Pricing (FVP) model for private market assets, and oversee of the daily FVP process in conjunction with the Pricing Oversight team.
• Support the development of the investment proposition with respect to private assets, leading on valuations and providing input to other operational areas, including fund structures.
Background Experience:
• Relevant profession qualifications including CFA, accounting or audit backgrounds is desirable
Experience and knowledge of private asset valuation process and oversight
• Knowledge of private assets fund structure knowledge
• Knowledge of valuation modelling is desirable
• Good attention to detail and understanding of a strong control environment
• Ability to influence, both orally and in writing, senior stakeholders
• Ability to formulate, present and implement solutions to complex problems
