Investment Strategist - Solutions (Insurance Clients)

We are working with a Tier-1 Global Asset Manager is looking to hire an Investment Solutions Analyst/Strategist to join their successful Solutions team in London. This role will be focused on the development of investment solutions for insurance clients using instruments across a wide range of asset classes.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in LDI/ALM roles or will have previous insurance solutions experience. Additionally, a strong understanding of Solvency II (and insurance accounting regulations) is highly desired, as well as an understanding of the key asset classes across public markets, private markets and derivatives. Also, an understanding of the hedging and investment strategies of insurance companies would be a big plus.

This role would also involve working closely with a range of teams across the firm, which has an excellent culture and is very collegial & team-driven in nature.

Skills and Requirements:
  • 3-10+ years' experience working with clients to deliver investment solutions
  • Good general knowledge of asset classes, including public and private markets, as well as derivatives
  • Knowledge of insurance solutions, ALM or LDI roles
  • Knowledge of Solvency II and key insurance accounting regulations
  • Understanding of the hedging and investment strategies of insurance companies, and how these are influenced by the type of liability, capital requirements, and other constraints
  • CFA, or actuarial qualifications (not required but a big plus.
