TEKsystems are en gaged with a Tier investment management client who are looking for a UX/UI Designer to come on board to improve user experience in their newest project

We are hiring a contract position for a Designer to focus on the Product Experience on our public site. We have many design challenges that covers our multiple customer types and 300+ product offerings, and this role will be at the forefront of our efforts, focusing on the heart of our digital projects and main customer journey.the role would be a 50/50 split between UI and UX responsibilities, the perfect candidate will be responsible to improve user experience while keeping the functionalities assessable.

Candidates must possess strong organizational skills with relevant user experience design expertise, preferably in a regulated industry. The ability to progress things independently as well as work in a team environment is crucial, while being able to solve problems quickly and maintain creativity in a fast-paced environment.

In this position, you will be close to the pixels, participating in concept development, delivering wireframes, mocks and testable prototypes that can help you validate design decisions. You will work with engineers to ensure the design is implemented effectively.

The ideal candidate for this role thrives collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver product experiences that improves peoples understanding of sophisticated data. They will work closely with the product owner to define projects for our highest priority needs, proactively seek regular design feedback, ask clarifying questions in the face of ambiguity, and stay closely aligned to goals. They are able to artfully articulate design rationale from both a site architecture and product point of view and can present to diverse partners from all across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Champion user-centered design principles, and rely on these principles to build experiences that meet user needs (while simultaneously addressing business goals)

• Collaborate with key project team members, including designers, product managers, engineers and technology leads to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Rapid ideation and iteration: Visualize and communicate ideas to your team in a timely manner

• Facilitate and participate in workshops and discussions to promote the communication of ideas

• Be proactive in giving and acquiring feedback from Designers as well as cross-functional members of your team

• Occasionally build presentations to be shared with the across teams within the organization

• Champion our design system to build consistent experiences that can scale in our suite of products

Qualifications:

• Must have 5+ years professional experience as a practicing designer in either product related or agency environments designing consumer facing applications, websites and mobile experiences.

• Strong portfolio of professional work with clear demonstration of your role and contributions on each project.

• Skilled in visual design, developing wireframes, prototyping, user flows, and interaction design

• Skilled in detailing work including annotations, prototypes, functional specifications

• Strong understanding of content

• Experience or ability to adapt to lean/agile product development models

• Ability to connect with development teams to ensure pixel perfect implementation with high quality standards through QA of work and build

• Effectively act on internal feedback, user testing results and findings to iterate designs that deliver more value for the users and business

• Strong presentation skills in explaining interactions, scenarios and story boards

• Experience running user research and user testing - and subsequently identifying user needs, actions, behaviors and emotions through research

• Familiarity with Design Systems and standard methodologies

• Design with intention, able to articulate your design decisions

• Have an opinion, and provide different perspectives on specific problems
