Job Title: Enterprise Climate Project Manager (EMEA)

Role Description:

  • Responsible to provide project management in support of EMEA region and legal entities for the Enterprise Climate Program to enable and ensure our Company, our clients and our supply chain achieve net zero greenhouse gas emission commitments, while preparing our front-line units to adopt and own new processes and capabilities
  • Manages one or more program workstreams and its portfolio of initiatives. Serves as secondary contact to senior leaders responsible for critical change initiatives and provides assistance to staff.
  • Coordinates across the enterprise, regions, and legal entities to assess gaps to program target states, develop work plans to resolve gaps and facilitates execution, while ensuring sustainable change, escalation of emerging risks, engagement of appropriate decision bodies and progress reporting for varying stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
  • Plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion.
  • Develops and socializes potential risk mitigation strategies. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining project records in systems of record and project documents.

The Team:

  • The Enterprise Climate Program Management Office is a new team and part of Enterprise Initiatives & Response within the Global Strategy & Enterprise Platforms organization. This team was formed in May 2022 to ensure the enable and support the company to achieve its climate objectives to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, prepare front line units to adopt and own new processes and capabilities, and ensure clear roles & responsibilities across the company for climate, consistent with the Company's risk framework.
  • The Program workstreams are led by senior company executives, typically 2, 3 and 4- deep to CEO, and include focus areas such as target setting & management, scenario analysis, data management, banker activation and client onboarding, underwriting, risk management and disclosures. Each of these workstreams is supported by a program management team. This position reports to the EMEA and APAC regional Climate program management executive, who coordinates engagement of regional heads, process owners, credit risk officers and decision bodies to deliver region-specific outcomes.

Key skills:

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Familiar knowledge of the Company's eight lines of business and control functions, with relationships and relationship management skills required to navigate our Company
  • Demonstrates composure at critical times
  • Knowledge and adherence of Enterprise Change Management policy, standards, tools and system of record
  • Project management experience
  • Regulatory issue remediation and evidence management experience
  • Familiar with EMEA / regional / legal entity organizational and committee structures
