The Opportunity:
  • This role is newly created due to business growth and to meet future client demands for continued investment excellence
  • With a history of almost 20 years of complex investment experience, this award winning and truly "Global" alternative investment business is offering a humble, ambitious (and realistic) candidate the opportunity to build the foundations of their successful career
  • Working within a diverse and exceptionally talented wider Investment Operations department in London, this role plays a key part in supporting a talented team of Investment Professionals located in both London and a range of other European financial centres
  • The key purpose of the role is to oversee a wide range of complex investments over their lifecycle (from cradle to grave), ensuring that during their life adequate controls, due diligence, and reporting requirements on these investments are met
  • A key part of this role is supporting Investment Professionals with the "exiting" of the investments, providing support to a wide range of internal stakeholders, the investor, and all Operating Partners
  • This role will support the entire investment book that is managed out of the London office and offers unparalleled levels of exposure along with interesting projects
  • More detailed responsibilities will include providing support around deal review, investment approval, deal closing, deal maintenance and deal exit
  • Data - ensuring data integrity for all investments and disseminating to relevant internal teams and external vendors; coordinating relevant investment information flow for a range of other internal functions
  • Projects - proactively participate in regional and global project initiatives


Your Experience:
  • You will have a strong record of academic achievement, culminating with an undergraduate degree demonstrating a comfort with "numbers" - i.e., Accounting & Finance; Economics; Business
  • Through your work experience within the Financial Services industry, you will be able to show an interest in Private Market investing, along with practical experience around working within a "controls" environment, ideally either in liquidity management and/ or structured lending
  • With the ability to illustrate proven project management and critical thinking skills, your core investment operations experience will provide a good base to leverage off
  • Suitable background and experience for this role could include a "support" focused role within Structured Finance / Loans or Private Markets, working for either the investment business or supporting vendors / administrators
  • Exceptional communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, with your ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Due to the "international" nature of the client and this role, fluency in either Italian or German would be highly valuable
  • Accomplished IT skills are important as you would expect, particularly within Microsoft Office. Wider knowledge of Broadridge, Power BI (or similar) would be helpful
  • Due to the hybrid model (3 office / 2 days working from home) you will of course need to be highly organised, dependable and trustworthy, proactive and a completer finisher. Teamwork is key to perform the wide range of tasks and to achieve the business's collective goals
