My client is a European Investment Bank, with a highly regarded Debt Advisory business with a senior leadership team with an enviable track record of advising on a wide range of transactions across the debt spectrum.
They are now looking for an Associate to work as a member of their successful and growing team. The successful candidate will work with a small group of professionals, with the benefit of direct access to the leadership within the team, assuming significant responsibility, experiencing strong deal-flow, gaining transaction exposure and opportunity for progression.

- assist in the preparation of marketing materials and pitches for new business
- undertake financial modelling and produce detailed valuations
- write information memoranda and client presentations
In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- produce briefing notes and research relating to trends in the debt markets
- research, collate and interpret data in order to present a complete picture of an organisation or sector
- serve as a point of contact for clients in the day-to-day management of transactions
- start to build own network of contacts (e.g. lawyers, accountants, consultants and potential clients such as junior staff at private equity firms)
- make a contribution to the firm's Private Equity relationships
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong academic record (at least a 2.1 degree or equivalent)
- Relevant past experience in investment banking, commercial banking, debt advisory or accounting. This could be in transaction services or related teams, such as modelling, valuations, or Leveraged Finance, etc
- Strong financial modelling skills (Excel).
- Experience of writing presentations (PowerPoint) and information memoranda (Word)
