Job Purpose Statement

Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are...

We are hiring for an Investment Analyst to join our UK Real Estate business, focused on delivering reporting and research to support our investment and fund management team.

We are happy to consider part time and flexible working for this position as it needn't be a full-time role.

Role Responsibilities

How you'll spend your time...
  • Monitor and develop an in-depth understanding of real estate sectors, their mechanics and markets, initially in the UK, but potentially expanding to Continental Europe over time
  • Identify trends to support investment decisions, and communicate these via research reports, thought leadership pieces and investment committee papers
  • Support the Fund Management team by taking responsibility for the production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports, covering economic and commercial property market trends, returns, fund returns, purchases and sales activity, asset management activity, etc. for both internal boards and external investor presentations
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of relevant fund objectives, philosophies and investment strategies
  • Contribute to the collective market intelligence through the accumulation, origination, interpretation and presentation of relevant research
  • Contribute to internal groupings including weekly Investment meetings and monthly Business Update meetings


Key Capabilities

To be successful in this role you will have...
  • Prior work experience preferably at a leading commercial real estate advisory firm, fund manager or investment bank
  • Strong commercial acumen, an attention to detail, analytically rigorous and good understanding of market fundamentals
  • General interest in global economic trends, technological improvements, accelerating behavioural and demographic changes
  • Strong communicator with experience of drafting presentations, reports and research papers
  • Excellent written communication and quantitative skills, proactive work ethic and a desire to work within a successful team to drive collective improvement
  • Proven ability to successfully multi-task and manage priorities under tight time frames
  • Self-starter and confident in working both independently and in teams with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and demonstrate strong team work ethics
