The Wealth Management Operations Business Intelligence team is seeking a data science professional who will design and implement analytics that will drive continuous improvement and find new business opportunities within the Operations Division.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading, and investment management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow. Operations spans all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.
The Wealth Management Division - Business Intelligence Team - Analyst / Associate will contribute to leading business and artificial intelligence programs through enhancing and establishing cross-functional analytics initiatives while addressing developments in key strategic data architecture. This role will combine accountability and responsibility for data lifecycle management, along with the exploitation of low code tools, to create business value.
As a data science professional efforts will include standardising data definitions, defining data quality criteria, setting key indicators, tracking metrics, use of golden sources, assessing data lineage and data visualization. The Analyst / Associate will work closely with business representatives to ensure key decisions and progress is made in line with the Wealth Management Division target operating model. The Analyst / Associate will need to work in partnership with Operations core business intelligence teams and Technology to align Operations BI strategy appropriately in terms of priorities, tools and methodologies.

HOW YOU WILL FILFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Analyze big data and undertake exploratory data analysis while observing best practices for experimentation / analysis
- Synthesize analysis results to inform business outcomes
- Develop indicators of performance and risk metrics
- Extend / modify analysis based on observations / knowledge of data and limitations, implications of results
- Drive the collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources
- Identify and escalate systems and strategy performance issues or trends
- Contribute to global Business Intelligence team functions in a capacity outside of business intelligence remit
- Track and report progress on projects, adhering to solution delivery lifecycle
- Seek information / guidance / opportunities from inside and outside organization / industry to generate a point of view
- Collaborate with other developers to share ideas and showcase outputs
Basic Qualifications:
- The candidate should possess a minimum of 1-5 years overall experience in (1) Data analytics, (2) Data visualization, (3) Programming, (4) Project, Communication and Stakeholder Management, and (5) Data governance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics / other relevant experience in consumer / financial / social / media tech companies in a role with a focus on data
- Passionate about data analysis and how this contributes to the business
- Must understand advanced analytics and statistics, have good software design skills and "get it" when it comes to day-to-day realities of the business
- Application of tools and techniques for analyzing and presenting information
- Knowledge of data related emerging trends and issues (including financial regulation)
- Experience in using business intelligence platforms (ie. Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik)
- Fast learner and effective communicator of new / complex information
- Self-motivated team player who is able to define structure and prioritize work, but who has the flexibility and capability to change priorities when circumstances dictate
- Confidence to challenge and be innovative
- Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships with strong culture awareness
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial Services and / or Wealth Management experience
- Experience with implementing data-driven improvement project frameworks such as Agile, Six Sigma, or Waterfall
- Alternative business intelligence tools (ie. Elastic, R, SQL, NoSQL, Zoomdata)
- Basic knowledge of computer programming fundamentals (Object Oriented Programming, algorithms, etc.)
- Skilled in SharePoint and PowerPoint
