TEAM & ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Vice President to join the EMEA Real Estate team in London to focus on the Loan Asset Management ("LAM") of the European investments of the Real Estate Credit Partners ("RECP") fund series. RECP is one of the world's largest performing real estate credit originators and is currently fundraising for its fourth fund, having invested more than $18bn since 2009. The RECP portfolio consists of investments in high yielding, senior, mezzanine and construction loans to high quality sponsors across Europe. The role will include direct responsibility for managing the existing investments day to day, liaising with third party servicers and Goldman Sachs LAM teams in Dallas and Bangalore, reporting on the risk across the portfolio to senior management and working with the investing team on the origination and underwriting of new Investments.
RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Working closely with the investing team to assist with the origination and underwriting of new loan positions for the fund
  • Developing a deep understanding of the exposures and associated risks across the book
  • Taking the lead with borrower interactions on all positions post drawdown
  • Analysing and understanding the underlying collateral of the positions, including regular site visits where applicable
  • Working closely with project monitors and the internal GS construction team for all construction loans
  • Lead all legal workstreams post drawdown
  • Review and approval of any new leasing requests across the secured collateral
  • Taking the lead on any restructures post initial drawdown including preparation of internal memos and presenting to Investment Committee
  • Oversight of a team in Bangalore who will assist with the asset management, administration and analytics across the portfolio
  • Providing performance updates to senior management both regularly and on ad hoc basis where there are changes to underwritten risk
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Strong financial/numerical literacy
  • Ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in Finance, Business, or other applicable field and have an excellent academic and professional record
  • [5-6] years' experience required - prior experience in a loan asset management role in a similar organisation preferable
  • Highly motivated with potential to develop in a challenging role
  • Detail oriented and with a strong sense of ownership
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A proactive team player with a strong sense of urgency, responsibility and ability to influence
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with strong skills in Excel and Power point
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure alone and in a team with a positive, hands-on, proactive attitude
  • Fluency in English - other European languages a plus
