Role Overview
We are looking to bring in to our finance team a Senior Accountant to carry out a pivotal role for the company. The role will involve extensive work with the board and offers plenty of international exposure. The vacancy sits within the Group finance team which has a boutique feel to it therefore offering a great amount of diversity and breadth and very real exposure to senior stakeholders.
Some of the activities you will be involved with
• Maintaining strong financial control of the general ledger, accurate and timely management information, including budgets, variances from budget and the production of KPIs which aligned to the business needs
• Control certain balance sheet areas and production of reconciliations and analytical information to ensure appropriate treatments
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and management reporting, including analysis and commentary
• Working with the wider business to maintain and review budgets and forecasts
• Provision of timely & accurate management information
• Actively contributing to strengthening of the Finance team and identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and analysis
• Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts at year end
• Assisting with budget to actuals monitoring

Experience we are looking for
- Qualified accountant
- Advanced Excel Skills including experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and charts
- Fintech, FX or related sector experience is beneficial
- FCA regulated business experience would be beneficial
- Hands-on, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Must have a positive attitude and be professional
- Strong attention to detail and proven ability to multitask, set goals and meet deadlines
- Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment
- Self-Driven and motivated to add value by instigating processes and procedures
- Sage experience desirable but not essential
