Fund Management Associate

Description

This is a unique opportunity to join an early stage venture capital fund manager who are looking to grow their team. A broad and varied role, this will provide a fantastic first step into the sector for those either looking to move out of practice or progress their career within PE/VC following qualification. The appointee will gain excellent exposure to all areas of fund and corporate finance, as well as working closely with their portfolio companies taking an active role supporting accurate reporting and monitoring their performance. Key responsibilities include:

• Management of the fund's portfolio and working alongside start-ups.
• Production of quarterly investor reporting and portfolio company analysis.
• Production of the management accounts, fund and management company financial statements and management of the audit process.
• Fund reconciliations and CASS reporting.

Skills

My client are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) from either an audit or management accounting background. The successful candidate will demonstrate a desire to start a career within Private Equity and undertake a broad and hands-on role. You must have a strong academic track record, good verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
