Serves as a senior compliance risk analyst for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) responsible for consistent delivery and oversight of high quality, concise, insight-led and actionable reporting to governance committees, management committee and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the development and provision of insight driven Regional, Material Legal Entities reporting, and other reporting initiatives including quarterly committee submissions, as well as off quarter and ad-hoc reporting
  • Supporting ICRM's State of Compliance reporting including, but not limited to: educating ICRM teams on responsibilities; check and challenge of information collected; ownership of timelines and deadlines for reporting; alignment of reporting to feedback from regulators; providing insight led qualitative analysis as well as liaising with senior stakeholders
  • Supporting ICRM's compliance reporting including, but not limited to, regional BRCCs and Material Legal Entities Boards including: coordinating inputs for each respective report and validating information where possible, ensuring consistency in messaging across all Committees, liaising with Senior Management to ensure accuracy of information and providing qualitative insight.
  • Assisting in providing oversight and quality control on reporting; focus on continuous improvement through the consideration/adoption of innovative solutions to drive process efficiency and improvement of report content/format and production processes.
  • Coordinating the timely delivery of all reporting and communicating with Committee/Board Secretaries where applicable to ensure timely delivery.
  • Establishing and developing effective relationships within ICRM to obtain information/documentation to respond to reporting requests proactively and on time with quality.
  • Analyzing complex comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to compliance risk assessments, and monitoring of compliance related issues.
  • Reviewing materials to ensure compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements and to ensure compliance risks are appropriately identified and addressed.
  • Investigating and responding to compliance risk issues. Investigating regulatory inquiries, preparing required documentation, making recommendations to senior management on how to proceed, and preparing responses for the regulatory inquiries.
  • Interacting and working with other areas within Citi, as necessary.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes in order to further identify new key risk areas.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies
  • Self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; experience in area of focus;
