We are currently working with our client, Royal London and looking for a Front Office Risk Analyst to join RLAM's Investment Business Management team based in London. It is an initial 12-month contract.

Purpose of the Role:

As a Front Office Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for:

Assisting management of Operational Risk and coordinating control activity. You will represent the team in change activity under our ongoing transformation programme. The team will support collaboration and efficiency across the Front Office by maintaining effective business processes and controls. You will report into the Senior Risk Manager and work closely with Front Office stakeholders and other RLAM departments.

Key responsibilities:
  • Working with the management team to ensure that risk registers are up to date and accurate.
  • Performing control assurance testing, including key reports testing, in accordance with plan and framework.
  • Root cause analysis on risk events.
  • Maintaining the Front Office system estate with regards user access and permissions.
  • Building process maps showing key controls and used to identify any additional control requirements.
  • Representing the Front Office teams in transformation programme from an operational risk perspective.
  • Testing and implementation of system enhancements.

What we require from the candidate:
  • Operational Risk background with understanding of risk management framework and methodology.
  • Knowledge and experience of Asset Management processes, products and controls, either directly or in a consultancy capacity.
  • Desirable to have technical knowledge of Order Management Systems, tools such as Aladdin, Thinkfolio, Murex, Charles River.
  • Previous experience in a Front Office environment is desirable.
