Who we are looking for

We are looking for a dedicated professional with an experience in either accounting or corporate administration (ideally related to trusts or special purpose vehicles) and a proven interest for emerging markets development and/or microfinance.

You are passionate for our mission and vision that would integrate well with the staff and corporate values.

The position is based in our office in London, with reporting line to the Head of Structuring.

About the Job

Managing the nascent SPV Middle Office of Symbiotics, which administers the currently four SPVs used in the Symbiotics transaction origination. The SPV Middle Office is responsible for a large range of aspects of the SPV administration including:
  • Transaction event management (prepayments, defaults, waivers, amendments) both in relation to investees (loan) and investors (notes)
  • Support in SPV governance (board resolutions)
  • Regulatory monitoring and interface with legal counsel (FATCA, CRS, DAC6, etc)
  • Tax monitoring and administrative roles (VAT, corporation tax)
  • KYC requests by investees
  • Interface with accountant and auditors
  • Administration of documentation and signatures, and interface with corporate services provider
  • Reporting to investors and reporting to stock exchange (ad hoc and regular)
  • Opening of Bloomberg pages for transactions
  • Maintenance of issuance programme of the vehicles, and interface with clearing systems and paying agents in respect thereof
  • Further, the SPV Middle Office Manager will manage 2 staff involved in the above

Your Qualification

We are looking for a dynamic person, autonomous, and able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. More specifically, we have the following requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant field (e.g. accounting / administration / law / finance / tax)
  • At least 4 years of experience in a corporate administration, trust administration, SPV administration or related accounting)
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Experience and/or motivated to lead a small team
  • Interest and/or experience in emerging & developing markets
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Valid work permit for the UK
  • Highly motivated, well-organised with a strong work ethic and a high degree of integrity
  • Ability to work independently
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
