Department Overview:
The Financial Sponsors Group ('FSG') is a global team covering our client's largest financial sponsor (private capital) relationships by income and exposure. Their primary responsibility is to manage these relationships, coordinating across products and geographies to explore and maximise cross-buy opportunities. This involves regular interaction with Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Transaction Services and other Sector teams. Added to this, FSG has a secondary portfolio management function with responsibility for allocation and performance of capital, as well as tracking share of wallet and leading reciprocity discussions. The team currently comprises [4] people in Europe, [3] in US and [2] in Asia and covers [29] centralized clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
Client coverage:
- Drive client relationship with senior stakeholders on client side on a portfolio of platinum clients to be allocated
- Liaise laterally and vertically with senior stakeholders, peers and juniors to drive the client dialogue, owning the relationship with the client
- Identify and drive cross-buy opportunities
- Organize commercial and credit committee applications
- Ability to venture into strategy and M&A discussions with senior stakeholders
Portfolio and data management:
- Contribute to performance reviews in order to allocate scarce resources in the right relationships and optimize portfolio management
- Contribute to creating a centre of excellence of financial sponsor activity
- Contribute to quarterly portfolio financial reports for internal stakeholders
- Contribute to KYC onboarding and remediation efforts as part of overall client relationship
Team management:
- Organize and set up internal deal teams to drive and coordinate origination
- Mentor junior team members
Profile

Candidate Profile
Experience/Knowledge:
- Bachelor degree (preferably quantitative) or substantial experience in finance related orientation
- Knowledge of full financial sponsor product suite with appetite to develop in particular fields
- Preferably network of existing relationships within financial sponsor universe
- Minimum 8 years experience primarily in investment or corporate banking and/or transaction services
Personal Competencies:
- Commercial savviness to trace opportunities in client universe and build relationships with senior client counterparts
- Energy to drive transactions and result orientation
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and multiple stakeholder environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset and tenacity
