Client Report Onboarding - Director

BlackRock's Report Onboarding (RO) function is accountable for ensuring that BlackRock meets our clients' need for data, including the provision of market leading reporting solutions and effective client service. As a part of the team you will formulate the successful delivery of critical reporting and distribution functions daily and partner with colleagues to craft and advance a globally aligned vision and business model. You will:
  • Lead a team responsible for onboarding clients onto our reporting offering, ensuring a seamless initial client experience
  • Analyse and implement the impact of portfolio change across a client's reporting suite. Take ownership for end-to-end delivery and ongoing service management
  • Optimally plan and run product improvement and change into business processes
  • Set medium-term resource and training goals to build greater sustainability of support across the team
  • Partner with global peers to implement a consistent, scalable and controllable operational platform.
  • Build strong partnership and work close and collaboratively with data source providers and client business partners to improve product offering; quality and timeliness of product.
  • Demonstrate risk awareness through delivering an appropriate operational control framework around client outputs including review and validation of monthly metrics.
  • Develop and apply appropriate measures to hold providers accountable for the quality and delivery of their product.
  • Build a customer-centric team through increased product knowledge and focus on successful delivery
  • Hire talent that can operate independently and with understanding of context
  • Be an operational leader providing improvement input within client reporting.
To ensure success, you will have the following qualifications:
  • A keen interest in investment products with a preference of 10+years of financial services experience, especially client onboarding, communications or data visualisation
  • Highly developed client service skills and autonomy in dealing directly with partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in data retrieval tools, for example Advanced Excel, SQL or Python skills would be desirable
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to go beyond the scope of one's role to achieve team and firm objectives
  • Excellent attention to detail, very accurate and well organised
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to synthesise information, summarise issues and think creatively
  • Sharp control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to raise issues

Lastly, your confirmed ability to operate under tight deadlines and prioritise work, coupled with your sound judgement to appropriately document conclusions will provide continued success. Using your proficiency in Microsoft Office, interest in learning new applications and your willingness to ask questions (while learning independently) will get you noticed.

Our hybrid work pilot
