Who we are looking for
We are looking for a degree educated individual with 5-10 years' Finance/Investment Management experience to work within the SSGA Operations Control team. The team is responsible for operations control functions, including outsourcing governance, transaction cost calculations and other control/governance related activities.
The role involves the close liaison with various cross functional global teams within the State Street group.
Experience of calculating transaction costs is essential, including dealing with both internal and external clients on requests and queries, delivering outstanding client service.
The role sits within SSGA's COO department and based in London.

What you will be responsible for
As the SSGA Operations Control Manager you will:
  • Be governance lead for anti-dilution mechanisms on SSGA pooled funds
  • Oversee daily anti-dilution calculations and setting of default rates on funds
  • Calculate quarterly transaction costs on pooled funds and segregated funds
  • Work independently and will liaise with various business departments, supporting functions and senior management teams within the organization
  • Be the main point of contact for both internal and external client queries
  • Perform legal entity board and committee reporting
  • Manage the monthly AUM reporting requirements for European portfolios
  • Oversight of Rule 8.3 /Takeover Panel submissions
  • Act as a coordination point for both internal and external audits
  • Act as representative/proxy for the head of Operations Control on committees and working groups
  • Other COO related tasks

  • Deep understanding of financial markets and instruments, passion for investment management and a good grasp of investment products, especially mutual funds

  • Experience of working with global teams and outsourcing oversight of delegated functions
