The Collateral Risk Analyst is a key member of the in-business credit risk function with responsibility for
the collateral that underpins the bank's lending, derivatives, and securities financing activities. Working
closely with individual business units and with the second-line risk management function, the Collateral
Risk Analyst is part of a specialized team overseeing the management of collateral across multiple
business units, identifying and responding to exceptions in the use of collateral and monitoring collateral related
risks across all businesses in the region.

This is a new role in a rapidly growing area of the bank and provides an excellent opportunity for a dynamic,
innovative and results-oriented individual to take the next step on their career path and play a part in the
development of a new department within the bank.
Ideal candidates will have experience in a corporate lending or a derivatives/securities finance function,
either in a front office capacity or from a credit risk role. They will be strong team players with a track record
in tackling new challenges, managing multiple priorities, and delivering results.

The Team:
In line with its focus on risk and controls, Citi has created a new first line risk function, Institutional Credit
Management (ICM). ICM's principal focus is credit risk: it has the objective of providing integrated "end-to-end"
credit underwriting and the management of associated risks for wholesale credit businesses across
the enterprise. Within ICM, the Collateral team focuses on the monitoring and management of risks relating
to collateral posted and received in connection both with Citi's trading and banking book activities.

The Mission:
The role reports to the Head of ICM Collateral Management Data and Reporting.
Working closely with designated business units and the corresponding independent risk functions, the
Collateral Risk Manager provides support and expertise in managing exceptional situations, monitors
collateral quality and ensures consistent and robust application of collateral standards with respect to
eligibility, rating, valuation, and maintenance.

The role:
The Collateral Risk Analyst will be expected to take ownership of the reports, analytics and processes that enable ICM's Collateral Management responsibilities including:
  • The analysis of collateralized activity in each of the business areas comprising Citi's wholesale credit activities
  • The identification, classification, and prioritization of collateral related risks (including wrong way risk)
  • Liaising with report users to tailor reports to their needs, while maintaining discipline of standardization.
  • Liaising with Product development to get a reliable data feed.
  • Develop and document relevant analytics of concentration, exception trends, capital benefits, and liquidity among others.
  • Supporting the other members of the ICM Collateral Management team in the achievement of the team goals continuous improvement of the team's performance
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science or similar
  • 3-5 years of Experience
  • Experience in data of financial services company
  • Experience in corporate lending or risk management is a plus
  • Knowledge of Citi's data and infrastructure is a plus
  • - Proficiency in Tableau and ability to query large scale data
  • - Proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • - Proficiency in off the shelf workflow tools like smartsheets, JIRA, bpm is preferred.
  • - Experience with low-code workflow applications is preferred.
