BI and Tableau Development Group Manager (Risk & Controls)
Falling within the Global Risk & Controls Technology organization, the BI and Tableau Reporting Development Group Manager is responsible and accountable for the end to end development management and delivery of the technology Book of Work for Reporting using Tableau that is part of Operational Risk Management line of business.

The BI and Tableau Reporting Development Group Manager will lead and direct global teams of highly skilled professionals to meet the Business critical and Regulatory requirements for various projects.

Responsibilities :
  • Responsible for Lead reporting agile teams across Indian, China and US global teams to implement reporting solution across Operational Risk and capable of managing at least 30 team members
  • Responsible for client engagement and management, end to end management and delivery of the technology Book Of Work and technology roadmap for Reporting using Tableau primarily.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior business and technology stakeholders across lines of businesses within Operational Risk Management.
  • Responsible for budget management, effort estimation, detailed project planning, resource management and status reporting.
  • Ensures essential Citi-wide program and project management procedures are followed.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership in the areas of BI reporting tools, reporting architecture, reporting infrastructure across multiple reporting platforms
  • Provide expertise in BI reporting such as Tableau development and ensure Tableau reporting design and best practice adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
  • Work closely with data architect lead to define and implement enterprise data model for BI tools such as Tableau reporting solution across all the data domains.
  • Provide data and reporting expertise to business to promote and manage Tableau self-service capability and also to the technology team on Tableau best practice implementation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally or externally, often at a senior level, in addition to diplomacy skills, to guide, influence and convince key business stakeholders and customer.
Qualifications:
  • Overall, at least 15+ years of experience with 10 years in a lead role in BI reporting development , with a broad range of enterprise wide implementation across technology platforms.
  • 10+ years of experience in creating highly interactive data visualization Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server dashboards. Hand-on and in-depth knowledge and experience in BI reporting and Tableau expertise is a must.
  • Able to Design and architect BI Reporting solution
  • Experience in Agile development life cycle is a must.
  • Good understanding of Operation Risk Management functions, Compliance and Audit functions is as added advantage.
  • Banking and Financial experience is preferred.
  • Highly motivated team player, excellent in written and verbal communication.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization and across different geographic locations.
  • Experience working on regulatory projects and dealing with US/ UK regulators.
  • Experience managing global technical teams with a diverse skillset (data engineers, Business analysts, product owners).
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and to interface with internal and external resources to define requirements.
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively problem solve, and the ability to engage resources outside of their direct control to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or similar.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
  • Risk Management qualification ideal but not required
  • Industry standard certifications such as Agile Certified Practitioner or Scrum master will be an advantage.
