An opportunity has arisen to join the team providing 2nd LOD oversight of the change & transformation portfolio. The organisation is undertaking a number of major change programmes to deliver the transformation, business growth targets and BAU and regulatory change programme. It is critical to have a comprehensive and joined up approach to Risk oversight to provide challenge and support to the business ambitions, and to ensure that the operational and execution risk entailed is efficiently managed.

Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Provide risk oversight and independent challenge on 1st line identification and assessment of risks
  • Support the delivery of Risk & Compliance Opinions
  • Support the delivery of Assurance Reviews in line with agreed Assurance Plan
  • Contribute to timely reporting and MI across Programme and Projects on progress and risk assessment to relevant governance committees
  • Review and assess the emerging risk themes
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Risk & Compliance community to ensure appropriate engagement

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • A good understanding of a Financial Services business
  • A background in Risk Management in a 1st, 2nd or 3rd line role previously
  • Strong understanding of programme /project risk management
  • Experience of building and managing strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience of providing analysis and guidance to tight deadlines

  • Manages conflicts that may impact delivery
  • Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture

  • Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, know-how and experience
