The Group Credit Risk team works in close coordination with the other risk and corporate functions across the Group and has significant interaction with trading teams, client facing teams and internal operations. Main duties include:
  • Support the Head of Credit Risk in discharging their responsibilities in designing and maintaining an appropriate Credit Risk framework
  • Ensure the framework is implemented as intended and that issues identified are resolved / escalated in a timely manner
  • Actively monitoring counterparty exposures with Asset Management and Wealth Management
  • Monitor the aggregation of all sources of Credit Risk and provide suitable MI reporting and recommendations to the senior management.
  • Monitor the quality of Credit Risk data and MI, challenge any shortcomings and recommend enhancements
  • Assess sources of Credit Risk in new instruments
  • Support the credit risk analysis/reports for the Group ICAAP and ICARA, working closely with Finance, Regulatory Reporting and teams within the Group Risk function
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and thematic reviews, including on Private Assets and Procurement
  • Deputising for the Head of Group Credit Risk where required.


The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Experience in credit risk management within the financial services industry
  • Strong Credit Risk analysis skills and knowledge of the banking industry
  • Understanding of Investment Management and of Private Assets a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments and associated risk analysis
  • Knowledge of regulatory landscape for banks and financial services

Qualifications:
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent subject relevant to financial services sector
  • CFA, ACA, ACT MSI or Banking/Investment Management Certificate a plus.
