Operational Due Diligence - Analyst/Associate

£55,000 - £75,000 + 10-30% bonus

Our client is one of the largest institutional outsourced fiduciary managers globally and they are looking to add an operational due diligence associate to their team in London. You will work as part of a dedicated ODD specialist team with structured development and training on the job with exposure to the full universe of external managers across hedge funds, private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting operational due diligence on external fund managers as an integral part of the selection process in various asset classes with a focus on hedge funds, private equity, private debt and real asset alternative investments
  • Operational due diligence of business processes, particularly in the areas of operations, risk management, compliance, IT and fund administration of selected external managers
  • Independent coordination of the due diligence and audit process, and coordination with the managers and other external service providers
  • Preparation of interviews and audit procedures including on-site visits (international)
  • Independently written preparation of due diligence reports and decision papers as well as reporting to internal committees
  • Ongoing monitoring regarding operational changes, incidents and other aspects concerning the assessment of the managers
  • Participation in client meetings and presentations on ODD visits
  • Ongoing development of internal processes


Requirements
  • Knowledge of operational risk frameworks in alternatives or private markets asset classes
  • 3 + years of previous work experience in one of these areas; fund compliance, depository, investment fund oversight, investment operations, fund accounting, audit or operational due diligence
  • Independent, structured, and conscientious way of working, ability to work in a team
  • Professional interaction and appearance with and towards clients, partners as well as external managers
  • Very good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
