Background

The role is within the Human Resources Team, supporting the Head of SMCR, HR Director and Senior Managers in ensuring Jupiter continues to meet their SMCR Framework and any associated regulations.

As Certification and Conduct Rules Analyst your role entails assisting the Head of SMCR in delivering key elements of the SMCR Framework specifically in relation to Certification and Conduct Frameworks.

This role will suit a motivated individual who is flexible and enjoys working with a range of stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Ownership and enhancement of the annual fitness and propriety and certification process
  • FCA directory applications and maintenance
  • Deliver training to new joiners and existing staff as required
  • Track organisational changes to identify and action any impacts on SMCR
  • Produce relevant MI in relation to certification and conduct activities
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of SMCR related documentation including role profiles
  • Operate the regulatory reference process
  • Ownership and enhancement of the training and competence policies
  • Contribute to regulatory projects as required

Desired Skills / Experience

The role varies day to day. The key skills required to succeed in the role are:
  • Some knowledge of SMCR regulation (1-2 yrs experience)
  • Preferably worked in SMCR team at a bank or large asset manager
  • A motivated individual, who can work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across the business at all levels
  • Able to demonstrate a team approach and to work collaboratively across functions
  • Problem solving skills, capable of handling pressure and meeting strict deadlines
  • High attention to detail
