Our client is a leading alternative investment advisor working with large sophisticated institutional investors on their portfolio allocations in private markets. The private equity research team has overseen significant manager allocations over the last 12 months in European private equity funds and syndicated co-investments for their client base. They are now seeking to add a private equity researcher with experience researching and/or allocating capital to private equity strategies and who has a good understanding of the European GP landscape.

They are now seeking to add a private equity researcher with experience researching and/or allocating capital to private equity strategies and who has a good understanding of the European GP landscape.
- Participate in investment due diligence of private equity investment opportunities (funds, co-investments, secondaries), including assessing valuations, financial modelling, drafting investment papers, and presenting investment recommendations
- Work with senior investment team members to source investment opportunities
- Constantly developing and renewing industry/sector knowledge as well as macro and regulatory changes which will support the investment decision process
- Monitoring client portfolio investments and assisting with GP relationships
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor's degree with 2 to 4 years of fund research experience at an asset owner, investment consultant, or fund of fund investor
- Ability to identify and summarise key investment risks and participate in a constructive review of an investment
- Strong technical and analytical skills - financial modelling, research, investment paper preparation, presentation
- Good interpersonal & team skills
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to use initiative
- Knowledge of the European or US Private Equity fund market
