The Marketing Data team are the subject matter experts for all portfolio and marketing analytics used by the Marketing department. The team is responsible for establishing data standards, meeting ad hoc client reporting needs, training marketers in proper use of the analytics, and coordinating with the Enterprise Data Team to scale production of the data for firm-wide use. As manager of the team, you will be a hands-on coach ensuring that the UK teams are equipped with relevant analytics calculated in a manner consistent with best practices so as to represent our portfolios accurately and insightfully.

Essential Functions:
Data Analytics
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Distribution and Investment inquiries for publishable portfolios and market analytics
- Work with Risk Management and Portfolio Management teams to develop and maintain global data standards and ensure high quality reporting
- Contribute ideas to develop "messages" for products and "thought leadership" efforts led by various Sales and Marketing teams, helping to promote existing products and attract new
- Complete and/or coordinate completion of data requests with global marketing data team members providing accurate and comprehensive reports/solutions
Systems and Automation
- Develop and implement efficient solutions to automate product reporting
- Work with business users and IT to continue development of existing databases
- Maintain and enhance UK designed consultant database automation tools to facilitate quarterly update and ad-hoc database queries
- Help identify issues/ inefficiencies in business operations and propose solutions through business process reengineering
- Continuously initiate process improvements to increase automation (minimise disruptions)
- Work with data "owners" to source data efficiently and accurately
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Analytical background and quantitative reasoning ability, as demonstrated by 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering preferred
- Ability to express ideas/interpret data from a variety of sources clearly and logically, both in writing and verbally, and including the visual display of quantitative information
- Strong planning, organizational, time management and follow-through skills; Ability to achieve objectives while working on projects with limited supervision
- Familiarity with electronic data services and analytics systems (e.g., FactSet, Morningstar, Mercer Insight, eVestment Analytics, Bloomberg, etc) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with SQL, Excel VBA skills including database connectivity preferred
- High level of self-discipline, conscientiousness, sound judgment, and detail orientation needed to meet responsibilities
- Proven ability to work successfully across departments (e.g. Marketing, Portfolio Management, IT, Operations) and effectively explain portfolio analytics concepts to varying groups and experience levels
- Technological acuteness, as demonstrated quick progress in learning new applications/software; Willingness to enhance the skill set
