Job Description

About the role:
You will be joining a forward thinking Finance & Treasury Services team at Checkout.com . This team are (in partnership) with engineering responsible for driving the end to end build and launch of all Financial products that Checkout uses internally and provides to our merchants.
The FTS team is looking for an experienced Staff product manager to help drive the expansion of our financial platform product portfolio. This role will own company-wide pricing and billing functions for our entire range of products and will be responsible to set a long-term vision and strategy for our pricing and billing function.
You will provide cross-functional expertise across product, engineering, and commercial teams in enabling our pricing strategy with new and dynamic pricing capabilities. You will collaborate closely with their stakeholders within and outside Checkout.com , and ensure a transparent and frictionless customer experience.

Qualifications

What you'll be doing:
  • This is a brand new opportunity within Checkout, where you will be own the build of a centralised pricing and billing platform and ultimately a single service. From this we expect to be able to deliver a harmonised customer experience, reduce engineering effort and produce more pricing capabilities for our products.
  • In the shorter term you'll be releasing new automated, real time pricing and end of month billing capabilities that our products can plug into. Over time we will be centralising our P&B capabilities into a single service.
  • You will be partnering closely with our pricing strategy team, both providing and relying on expertise in order to build a best in class pricing and billing platform, serving both business and customer needs.
  • Using full product lifecycle to develop product vision, strategy, and data-driven prioritisation to build a platform that unlocks value.
  • Build strong partnerships with business, product, and technology stakeholders and work with them their buy-in and collaboration to generate momentum for your products
  • Work with other product and engineering leaders to ensure alignment with their roadmaps and delivery
  • Gain a deep understanding of Checkout.com 's customers and business
About you:
  • As part of your role, we would expect you to use your prior experience to drive & influence change across various teams at Checkout (including our Execs to ensure a smooth roll-out of the pricing and billing platform.
  • Unlike many Finance & Treasury teams, at Checkout, many of our products get into the hands of our customers. We want you to be able to use your experience to be able to balance the needs of both our customers and internal teams when driving product innovation and change.
  • Product Managers at Checkout are responsible for owning the end to end full product lifecycle therefore you'll have the ability to convert business strategy into product vision and strategic priorities to drive product roadmap and execution
  • You have a strong understanding of business operations, financial and regulatory needs and the impact on Pricing and Billing
  • We will expect you to put your pricing and billing knowledge to good use, leaning on the wider pricing team where necessary, to ensure a best in class service for our enterprise and SMB customers
