Part of the EMEA Finance team supporting SSGA EMEA business units with reporting, planning and analysis activities working with regional and business unit management, Central FP&A, Accounting, and other groups
Additionally providing dedicated finance support to the EMEA GIG organization

What you will be responsible for
As Financial Reporting / Analysis / Planning, VP you will
Reporting, Planning & Analysis
  • Provision of insightful financial analytics to support decision making
  • Lead monthly close process for EMEA GIG and the consolidated EMEA Business Units and Legal Entities, ensuring financial results in coordination with GAO, Controllers, FP&A and business counterparts.
  • Lead in preparation and consolidation of the EMEA GIG Annual Budget, forecast and multi-year planning processes
  • Monthly Management Reporting to Senior business unit management including P&L, AUM, historical and pipeline Flow and ANNR reporting to senior management
  • Oversight of India team members (Bangalore) who support related activities
Regulated Legal Entity Specific Tasks
  • Ownership for preparation and review of assigned UK Legal Entity Finance Quarterly Board / Committee papers, including coordination of inputs from Controllers, Regulatory Reporting, Capital Management and Treasury teams.
  • Drive consistency and accuracy of Board / Committee reporting across EMEA Legal Entities and ensure external independent Non-Executive Director and internal Executive Director reporting needs and queries are met in a timely manner.
  • Preparation and presentation of the annual Legal Entity Budgets
  • Preparation and presentation of the 3-year SSGA Limited and MPF Limited Business Plans, including consolidation of entity specific Business strategy in cooperation with senior internal stakeholders (Executive Management, and EMEA GIG / SPDR / Cash Business Leads).
  • Active Working Group member for SSUTM Limited and MPF Limited
  • Continually review legacy operational reporting, accounting and finance processes, ensure best practices, if not redesign and collaborate on necessary changes
  • Supporting ad hoc requests, projects and business transformation initiatives

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad Finance & Accounting experience with 10+ years of experience, working in financial services. Asset management experience a plus
  • Professional accounting qualification preferred but not essential depending on experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and analytical tools
  • Experience of working as part of a global team
