One of the most successful hedge funds in the world with over $100bn AUM, are seeking a strong C# developer to play a key role in designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining the firm's critical trade management system.

A successful candidate is expected to work closely with the team lead and manager, as he/she works either independently or within a team. They should be a strong communicator, self-motivated and have a deep passion for technology with concentrated focus on the .NET based technologies with a heavy focus on distributed systems and high-volume processing.

Responsibilities:
  • System design and enhancements on multithreaded, high volume trade flow processing
  • Capable of making independent decisions whilst mitigating risk
  • Demonstrate an ownership mentality in all aspects of the firm's trade management systems
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task between second-line support and strategic development responsibilities

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a formal enterprise-level development environment in C#
  • Strong experience in multi-threaded programming and OO design
  • Strong experience building connected, service-orientated applications
  • Experience and familiarity with enterprise messaging systems
  • Experience in Dev/Ops (JIRA/Git/Team City/Octopus Deploy)

Preferred:
  • Agile software development concepts
  • Behaviour and test-driven development
  • Full stack software development, including Web and mobile frameworks such as React JS, Angular
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol
  • MS SQL
  • Familiarity with US and International Equity, Fixed Income and Commodity markets
  • Understanding of post-trade lifecycle
