The Head of Data & Analytics is a data and business minded leader. You will be responsible for understanding the data needs across the Retail and Savings business as well as being responsible for developing and executing on your roadmap to maximize data capabilities and business value from data. The role is responsible for running the data function which has c.60 people globally and is made up of four core capabilities: Data and Analytics, Data Platform, Data Engineering and Digital Analytics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Shape and drive the implementation of a Retail and Savings focussed data strategy and roadmap, clearly articulating where Retail and Savings data is going and how it will get there.
  • Be a well-respected and visible leader of the data function, influencing and building strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across Retail and Savings and across the wider Technology function.
  • Act as a trusted advisor helping senior executives and business unit leaders to utilise data and grow and transform the R&S business.
  • Manage and as necessary refine the data operating model, including accountabilities, interlocks, governance, KPIs, 3rd party sourcing model, organisation design and skills and capabilities mix, to enable the delivery of the data strategy as well as support the business and key programmes.
  • Lead, inspire and manage the data teams.
  • Manage data teams to ensure data dependencies are delivered on time.

  • You have led and evolved a data strategy and execution as part of an overall technology enabled business strategy.
  •  You have a Strategic mindset with demonstrated experience in implementing data frameworks and driving continuous improvement.
  • You have expert communication skills and ability to influence leadership.
  • You are an experienced manager with focus on coaching and mentoring cross functional team members.
  • You have knowledge of the savings and investment industry.
  • You have strong teamwork skills in order to collaborate and build strong relationships with co-workers and internal clients to support development and implementation of data solutions.
  • You have project management skills: you plan, organize, motivate, and control resources to achieve specified project goals and objectives while respecting defined constraints.
  • You are agile and resilient: you adapt approach to be appropriate for each situation, accept and adapt to new situations:
  • skilled at working in a metric environment where influence and collaboration are critical to success
  • Experience with the Microsoft Azure tech stack
  • Experience with the Adobe Analytics tech stack
  • Experience in migrating on-premise solutions to cloud
  • Experience working with CISO, DPO and Data Management functions
