Senior Performance Analyst, Fixed Income - Investment Management

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to join our asset manager client who, following nearly 100 years of activity have become one of the largest investment managers in the world.

The Senior Performance Analyst will work independently to calculate and provides investment performance and analytics to internal departments, investment professionals and external entities. You will also construct, evaluate and maintain benchmarks and indexes as well as present investment performance and analyses to internal departments, investment professionals and external entities.

Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and analyse fund, account, manager and composite investment performance - specific focus on fixed income/ equity.
  • Validate investment performance and fund, account, index, composite and benchmark information in various internal and external systems.
  • Prepares and validates attribution analysis.
  • Access, assemble, manipulate and interpret large data sets.
  • Provide investment performance and quantitative analytics internally and externally.
  • Deliver and communicate investment performance and analytics to internal departments and external entities.
  • Answer queries and act as a point of contact internally and externally. Escalate complex issues to senior associates as needed.
  • Perform performance, statistical and portfolio analysis.
  • Work closely with investment and distribution associates to determine analytical requirements.
  • Maintain and understand forecasting tools and statistical models/ design and develop forecasting tools and statistical models that directly support the investment and distribution decision-making processes.
  • Leads departmental projects and process improvements.

Candidate requirements:
  • Experience within Fixed Income preferably with Performance, Attribution and portfolio analysis
  • Preferably have a related charter (CIPM, CFA) a related BA \ MBA, or have significant and related experience in the field
  • Ad hoc \ BAU workload (producing various Marketing Collateral, Client Reports, Attribution reports etc)
  • Ability to readily interpret Performance, Attribution, Client queries
  • Leading and \ or makes meaningful contributions in the analysis and assessment of new initiatives, application evaluations, requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Managing complex projects independently with solid understanding of how the projects impact the organization
  • Proactively identifying gaps in procedures, recognize areas of risk, and identify areas for improvement. Promotes proper controls.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one of the following - including comfort navigating all aspects of the application and its data sets - someone that has performed a BSA \ BA role on Results platform implementation \ integration projects most likely
