We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Senior Manager to lead our Markets Middle Office teams providing specialist technical, analytical, and advisory support to key partners including Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) and Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) across a range of complex market products with significant portfolio values.

You'll lead and deliver against both the strategic vision of Markets & Lending Delivery and CIB Delivery providing a comprehensive support service for our business partners.

In addition to providing ongoing performance management and developing key capabilities within the team you'll employ strong and articulate interpersonal skills to relay key messages where risks and issues need to be clearly understood and where appropriate decision-making drives risk management activity.

An excellent understanding of all Financial Markets products, business processes and front to back infrastructure is crucial. In addition, excellent knowledge of the regulatory practices which impact the work of the team and an understanding of the likely impact of forthcoming regulatory change.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Implementing a sustainable, cost-effective target operating model to support business needs, adapting as the business model evolves. Oversight and sign off for changes to systems, processes and working practices to achieve continuous operational improvements.
  • Lead and develop existing business relationships with our partners through the provision of performance metrics and partner engagement.
  • Demonstrate continual awareness of industry and regulatory developments relevant to appropriate business area and the wider market applying your knowledge of the external environment, including regulatory landscape, to develop a sustainable support model for customers and the Group.
  • Develop procedures, interpret, and apply policy for Markets Middle Office to achieve specified outputs, or advise the wider business on application of policy, monitoring implementation of those procedures within the organisation.
  • Be forward thinking and take ownership in driving new processing models that include digital solutions, keeping pace with an evolving external digital and regulatory landscape.

Our teams are based across London, Edinburgh, and Birmingham with remote working available for all colleagues. We're flexible with where you can be based but the expectation is that you'll attend one of our hub sites at least twice weekly.
