Description

Business Analyst - AVP responsibilities
  • Responsible for specific aspects of the project to manage and report back to the Project/Programme Manager and/or provides technical resource to the Project Manager or Senior Business Analyst to help meet deadlines. May have sole responsibility for creating the required technical documentation or running a specific set of workstreams under the delegated authority of the Project lead.
  • Works with light touch supervision across complex tasks or assignments and over time develops areas of expertise that contributes to one or more of the large-scale, complex projects. May also be assigned smaller scale projects or initiatives to work independently using the enterprise project methodology and framework or the required BA documentation and processes.
  • This role must communicate clearly across multi-disciplinary teams to perform a wide variety of functions such as leading workstreams or SteerCo meetings, documenting detailed business requirements and process flows from scratch - and check for clarity so that the requirements are detailed accurately. Requires application of knowledge to answer queries, deliver assigned tasks on time, perform required day-to-day activities and flag up if/when risks or issues are identified or where further challenge or investigation is required.
  • This role allows for specialisation into either Project Management or Business Analysis.
  • Working closely with the Head of Sustainability, the Programme Manager, and key stakeholders including senior managers and front office departments.
  • Proactively driving adherence to the programme plan in order to progress and deliver on key milestones maintain good project management discipline and documentation.
  • Support development of sustainability programme in customer facing departments, tracking the development of needed resources, and overseeing working group meetings
  • Play liaison role with Corporate Communications functions on Sustainability matters, to ensure good communication on topics such as sustainability events, training and progress internally in the bank
  • Responsible for completing assigned tasks within the agreed timeframe, self-manage all day-to-day standard activity tasks.
  • Contributes ideas or improvements that can be made to systems or processes to help achieve deliverables.
  • Act as a key interface between business end users and the Project/Programme Manager.
  • Required to interact closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand and document in detail the 'as is' and 'to be' processes, systems, issues and needs.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams reflecting system requirements and capabilities, drafts specifications and technical reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends
  • Maintains project documentation and project artefacts, may need to consult with workstream leads and other key project personnel
  • Recommends controls by identifying problems and providing analytics to support the recommendations.
  • Actively participate and contribute in the implementation of approved changes
  • Responsible for managing and delivery of smaller scale projects and the benefits, completing all PM/BA tasks independently or under light supervision

Business Analyst - AVP Experience

Education & Qualifications
  • The role requires the candidate to be educated to degree level in an appropriate field of study - e.g. science, computer science or degree that increases analytical skills, problem solving and critical thinking

Experience & Knowledge
  • Evidence of previous experience in financial services, markets and banking activities and/or the surrounding regulatory framework
  • Ideally, ESG qualification or experience in financial services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Must be detail orientated, analytical and inquisitive
  • Evidence of effective communication skills both written and verbal including presenting complex information simply and succinctly
  • Evidence of innovative thinking and problem-solving
  • Able to work independently and under supervision
  • Practical and willing to take responsibility to ensure objectives are achieved
  • Good time management - must be able to work to deadlines, in an ambiguous environment and under pressure

Job Offer
