Department Overview:

This role is part of the analytics team supporting EMEA Risk and Control in overseeing 1st line risks in the EMEA Region covering all businesses and jurisdictions, reporting to both EMEA and ICG CAO Organisation.

Through focus on risk management data analyses, reporting automation, effectiveness & efficiency improvements, and testing support, the team will drive progress, consistency and synergies across all businesses and countries in the region and contribute to proactive risk management and better understanding of risk environment and controls across the organisation.

In addition, the team will work with independent risk functions and Internal Audit to enhance local control standards and support business management in their oversight.

Responsibilities:
  • Building and improving Tableau-based dashboards and expanding and maintaining related databases
  • Designing, building and producing reports on Issue Management, Key Indicators, Loss and Near Miss Events, Risk and Control, Compliance and Conduct etc., supporting Business Risk and Control Committees and other forums
  • Automating, standardising, and implementing improvements to reporting across EMEA, to drive effectiveness, efficiency, and consistency of Management Information
  • Understanding EMEA business' risk profiles, rolling out enhanced risk and control frameworks, tracking regional trends and read across, monitoring of business risk and control related issues
  • Performing regular high-quality data analyses of risk and control related data (e.g. KPIs, KRIs) and presenting the results in a clear and consistent format
  • Performing complex ad-hoc data analyses of comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to risk assessments
  • Supporting Risk and Control self-assessments, control monitoring and testing for EMEA franchise
Qualifications & skills:
  • Business Intelligence skill set
    • Experience working with Tableau and creating dashboards, reports and visualizations with advanced data manipulation logic
    • Analytical skills and capability to quickly analyse large, complex, and inconsistent datasets to draw accurate conclusions and drive meaningful insights
    • Ability to formulate appropriate messaging, striking the right balance between high-level and detailed information, depending on the audience
    • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, VBA macros)
    • Maintaining Big Data database/data lake connection
  • Understanding of the EMEA regulatory landscape and different investment banking businesses and functions; understanding Citi's footprint is a plus
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management structures and roles and responsibilities across 3 LoD and Citi's Risk and Control environment is a strong plus
  • Ability to drive change and improve quality and efficiency in business practices by working effectively across a global organisation
  • Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic, complex and fast paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement
  • Highly self-motivated team player, passionate and performance-driven
