As a KDB/q Engineer in the Data Analytics team, you will be working with traders, quants and structurers to provide data and analytics solutions across our commodities and global markets business lines.
You will be developing high quality, low maintenance, resilient solutions for our global trading businesses. You'll bring interest and experience in maturing our development practises across our agile-based team, looking to help us on our journey to continually improve the robustness of our solutions and the speed with which we can respond to our business's needs.
We are moving the platform onto public cloud, integrating kdb into the teams' wider data lake architecture and seek to extend the platform to new users. This is a rapidly evolving area, and we want people who will bring a learning mindset to the role. We have set out to build a best-in-class real time calculation platform on a relatively young platform and this role will provide opportunities to use your knowledge and passion to shape that delivery.
At a technical level you'll be working largely with kdb/q, shell scripting and AWS. You will gain exposure with python and other technologies such as Airflow, Grafana, Prometheus, CI/CD platforms (Bamboo, Argo CD) and vendor platforms such as Dataiku and Alation.
Working in Technology at Macquarie, you'll be part of a high performing team and sit side-by-side with business stakeholders. Our flat structure means that you'll directly contribute to our strategy, while taking ownership of a diverse range of projects utilising the latest technologies.
If you have 3+ years of q/KDB experience, love data and want to work on innovative projects, then apply now!
