Who are we looking for?
An experienced quantitative development engineer who will be an individual contributor responsible for redesigning the current derivative pricing engine to deliver a market-leading analytics and risk solution for OTC derivatives. The individual/s must have experience in developing analytics engines at Fintech vendors or financial institutions .

Why this role is important to us?
The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), which became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, which was launched in 2019.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantitative Developer, you will
  • Work with the Product Managers/SMEs to model trade capture for complex financial instruments and to develop pricing and risk models for them.
  • Advise stakeholders on market best practices for instrument setup, pricing and risk.
  • Develop, test, debug, and implement pricing and risk models using Java, Python, SQL or other related software engineering languages as well as keeping abreast of emerging technologies

What we value?
  • Experience in developing trading and analytic engines in Java, C++, and Python
  • Able to independently design specifications and data model
  • Able to work on small to medium projects with little to no supervision and on more complex tasks with no oversight
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work alone and in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience developing event-driven architectures
  • Experience developing cloud-native services on one of the major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud is a plus
  • Experience in Angular or React is a plus

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • A graduate degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics, or equivalent level commercial experience.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in financial services developing pricing engines or extending analytics libraries. Experience in OTC derivatives is required.
