The team is around 6 people, led by a long-term CS Director and comprising a mix of experienced permanent staff, contractors and consultants.

The programme has three work streams:
  1. Entity Analysis - reviewing the entity population by business, type, region etc, in order to identify opportunities for closure and capture rationale for entities to be retained, along with an agreed next review date. Liaising with Business owners, COOs, Finance, Tax, Corporate Secretary and other stakeholders.
  2. Rationalization Pipeline - coordinating and accelerating closure of entities where agreement to close has been achieved by the Entity Analysis stream. Liaising with Corp Sec, other internal stakeholders and external advisers.
  3. Central Delivery - Programme PMO function, Tracking Tool design and implementation, Design and documentation of the end-to-end entity lifecycle process and controls

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of legal entities to perform up front analysis on their activities, balance sheet and position in the legal entity hierarchy.
  • Liaise with the relevant stakeholders to assess whether entities may be closed or should be retained
  • Challenge assumptions, connect information and think broadly to provide alternative options and additional rationalisation opportunities
  • Capture status of the analysis, rationale to retain and entity and next review date in the Tracker Tool.
  • Support MI production and develop additional metrics to review and report on the entity population
  • Suggest enhancements to the Tool, the programme approach and the end-to-end entity lifecycle as they arise.
  • Escalate issues that may impede the analysis to the Programme Lead.
  • Participate in programme working groups providing updates as required.
  • Potentially transition to the Pipeline stream as the Entity Analysis delivers rationalization opportunities

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with balance sheet analysis & different legal entity purposes within in a complex banking group
  • Understanding of regulatory environment, including license requirements
  • Knowledge of Investment Banking and Wealth Management business
  • Experience of working within a project environment
  • Self-motivated, using own initiative with attention to detail
  • Good end user skills - Excel, PowerPoint
  • Good communication verbal and written
  • Good analytical and organizational capabilities
  • 7-10 years' experience in global organisations
