I am recruiting for an international bank based in the square mile who are looking to hire a Relationship Manager, with a focus on large corporates. Ideally looking to work within the following sectors - Pharma, Renewables, Healthcare, Telecoms or Food & Beverage.
The Responsibilities of a Corporate Relationship Manager Will Include:
• In line with credit policy and business objectives, establish, develop and maintain good relations with clients
• Proactive marketing of the bank's financial services and products to targeted customers and to meet their financial planning needs;
• Ensure a responsible attitude is maintained, investigating and understanding the clients' operations and financial status to generate credit reports based on thorough evaluation;
• Accountable for assessing customers' credit risk, including understanding various credit risk issues, ensuring credit policies are adhered to, being a "first line of defence" in risk management and mitigation;
• Track key clients' corporate announcements, industry news, trends, regulatory requirements etc., and recommend business solutions accordingly within appropriate timescales;
• Maintain portfolio credit quality by conducting regular (and/or spot checks on) credit reviews, monitoring risk concentrations, early identification of problem situations and advising solutions;
• Inform, advise and report any suspicious transaction identified to the Head of department in accordance to relevant policies;
• Obtain and maintain all required KYC information and verification for all the customers;
• Strictly comply with the requirements of anti-money laundering and other compliance policies as well as code of conduct, including initial due diligence and on-going due diligence analysis;
• Fulfill all internal procedures and processes, such as Core Banking System usage;
• Adhere to regulations, legal obligations and data protection rules;
The Successful Corporate Relationship Manager Will Have:
• Bachelor degree educated
• Minimum 10 year in business development in a wholesale bank with more than 5 years of experience as a Corporate Relationship Manager;
• Capable of developing a wide range of business with a successful track record
• Knowledge of syndication loan market and appropriate contacts and major arranges;
• Knowledge of loans & security documentation;
• Adequate knowledge or experience of Customer Due Diligence;
• Familiar with UK banking regulations and various banking products; in particular, have a thorough understanding of various types of corporate lending, trade finance products, and their processes and key risk areas;
• Excellent marketing skills and strong ability in analysing financial statements;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills;
• Good team player and willing to work in a multi-cultural working environment;
• International banking experience is a valuable asset;
• Proficiency in verbal and written communications in English;
• Advanced Word and Excel skills;
