A PE investment firm focused on acquiring control positions in asset-backed operating companies in Europe, the UK and the US is looking to advance its team and hire a Senior Associate and VP/Senior VP level investment professionals to strengthen its acquisitions department. The persons will be responsible for the execution of transactions from start to finish and will be working closely with a variety of stakeholders.

The role offers a unique experience of working directly with the decision-makers and having direct exposure to a full multitude of corporate deals. As part of a management team, the role offers supportive and entrepreneurial experience and a high level of exposure (internally and externally).

Both, the IA and VP will be a main contributors to a team of investment professionals and will work on transactions to undertake and manage sizable investments across various geographies within international corporate deals as well as rela estate, actively engage in portfolio and asset management and mentor junior subordinates.

Responsibilities for the SVP
  • Undertake and manage various equity investments across the UK, EU and the US across various asset classes
  • Leading full cycle of investment deals, including the deal structuring, due diligence, vetting, client relations, financing and closing
  • Presenting investment reports and memos to the Investment Committee
  • Defining, assessing and implementing various asset strategies aimed at driving financial performance in the long and short-term.
  • Form subjective and research and analysis-based opinions, able to justify your points of view, challenge decisions and apply a critical thinking process
  • Pro-actively applying your knowledge, operational and asset management expertise to increase the income and the value of the assets
  • Building relationships with third-party suppliers - e.g. banks, law firms, lenders and various commercial advisors, as well as partners, clients and investment advisors.
  • Take charge of managing and mentoring your team of subordinates, overseeing and managing their performance, and becoming a leader for your team.

Responsibilities for IA
  • Active involvement in the analysis, structuring and execution of deals with a particular focus on asset evaluation/business modelling
  • Active role in design and execution of various due diligence workstreams such as commercial, technical, financial, tax and legal
  • Identification of key risks and mitigants of investment opportunities
  • Market research and analysis
  • Preparation and/or review of sophisticated operational and financial models, and the preparation of investment committee presentations
  • Support in raising debt and equity funding for new investment opportunities and portfolio companies
  • Support in management of portfolio companies, including preparation of internal and external portfolio company reporting
  • Interaction and building relationships with management teams, investment banks and other external advisors.

You will be/have
  • High achiever with excellent academic background
  • Sound experience and knowledge of building an effective investment track-record according to your experience level - our client is looking at Associate/Senior Associate as well as VP/Senior VP level specialists - salary is highly negotiable depending on the level and expertise
  • Investment Banking background with a portfolio mix of Real Estate as well as sound expertise in Corporate deals is preferred
  • Formed investment judgment and understanding of the industry and the market conditions
  • Decisive and capable of driving investment development across various asset classes
  • An effective communicator who can talk at all levels and develop effective relationship
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
  • A team player who is also an ambitious self-starter with the ability to be flexible and work independently.
