Accountabilities
  • Design, support and implement effective and efficient business processes and data services for ESG investment data sets, which service the organisation's investment data needs for the business, the clients and the regulators
  • Active management and measurement of service delivery, and the management of tactical data solutions to support business critical priorities
  • Deliver high quality output that is clearly defined and structured, based on previous experience and knowledge, and use discretion over how best to achieve it
  • Work within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problems and make suggestions for improvements, using experience and knowledge of similar situations

Responsibilities
  • Implement business processes which support the sourcing, quality, consumption and distribution of ESG data to stakeholders
    • Understand the key ESG initiatives taking place in the organisation, communicating and coordinating this within the Investment Data & Reporting Services Team to ensure that the team are connected and adding value into the right areas
    • Work collaboratively with Credit Research, Fund Management, and Transformation Change teams on initiatives to understand, define and communicate business and data requirements for Fund and ESG data
  • Support and collaborate withing the Investment Data & Reporting Services Team to identify the most appropriate solutions to increase both operational efficiency and data quality for our customers.
  • Identifies and escalates data risks, supports the implementation and execution of mitigating controls, and operates within the M&G Operational Risk Framework.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • Strong understanding of investment ESG data sets and associated market data within the industry
  • Maintain a strong understanding of up-to-date industry best practices, with an exceptional understanding of data management practices within Financial organisations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Takes pride in working to a high standard, and thrives within a changing environment, showing initiative, drive and ability
  • Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills - can summarise actions, findings and themes, lead workshops and presentations, and tailor deliverables in a way which is suitable for the intended audience
  • Demonstrates proactivity, enthusiasm, team working skills and the desire to make a real difference
  • Relevant qualifications such as IOC / IMC are beneficial
  • Systems literacy (Advanced Excel, VBA/SQL) and knowledge of Bloomberg, Refinitiv, MSCI Products and Aladdin desired
