We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced Programme Manager to join one of the four delivery domains I.T. supporting our client's asset management business with change expertise, software engineering, quality assurance and third line application support. Reporting directly into the Global Head you will be responsible for delivery oversight across the full portfolio of technology change and will be the accountable Programme Manager representing Global Technology on large scale strategic initiatives which can often involve acquisition of another business (M&A) or other significant business/funds on-boarding......

You will also be responsible for the annual change budgeting and resource allocation process along with management and oversight of the domain application estate in regard to risk, end of life and security vulnerabilities. There is a strong concerted effort to move the technology estate to the cloud and, in the process, re-architecting the technology stack, so we are ideally looking for someone that can function at multiple speeds and levels of scale, whilst ensuring a stable operating environment, which delivers value through technology domain expertise and robust solutions to internal customers/ up to CxO level stakeholders.

Essential Experience
  • Proven track record of programme delivery within a middle/back office environment within another leading Asset Management House
  • Previous exposure to and ability to work well with Investment and Operations personnel
  • Have experience of the full project lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through to implementation and ongoing support
  • Experience of working with global colleagues and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences, times zones etc.
  • Experience of delivering change within a flexible working environment
  • Ability to produce management level information packs/presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Excellent ability to communicate how your technology team dovetails into the wider business and technology strategies
  • Be comfortable with our client's hybrid working model of 50/50 (=10 days pcm) in the City

The successful applicant will represent their technology domain to multiple stakeholders across numerous programmes, projects, platforms and products to ensure our delivery remains aligned to the agreed scope, budget and schedule.

Key aspects of the role will include:-
  • Work closely with senior business stakeholders and sponsors to shape the strategic 'runway' of large initiatives
  • Responsible for holistic delivery planning, ensuring large change initiatives are sequenced effectively and interdependencies actively managed
  • Manage projects / programmes to budget and delivering agreed functionality using the technology lifecycle, processes and procedures
  • Contribute to shaping and delivering the QA strategy
  • Create an inclusive and collaborative environment with the teams you engage with
  • Responsible for facilitating and contributing to all elements of planning to own the overall Programme Plan
  • To liaise with the business and change teams in order to accurately identify business requirements/needs and provide effective solutions in a timely and cost effective manner
  • To liaise with external suppliers to ensure effective implementation of 3rd party applications
  • To liaise with the delivery and engineering leads to ensure accurate delivery from specification
  • To manage and support the implementation of business change initiatives
  • Responsible for line management, coaching and mentoring the teams responsible for programme and project delivery
  • Accountable for ensuring committed objectives are met within agreed timelines
  • Accountable for contributing to all elements of planning, including estimates for testing and the support acceptance process
  • Participate enthusiastically and effectively in relevant agile ceremonies
