As part of the day-to-day work, the successful applicant will solve I.T production issues, closely monitor the production systems and work with development peers to improve and stabilize the environment.
Additionally, you may receive direct exposure to our trading desks as you support our client's trading systems. You are also encouraged to challenge current processes implementing improvements and automation of manual processes while also engaging on new project development.
The main objective of this team is to ensure that the applications managed by front office Trading Support operate smoothly and efficiently. The systems are used across the globe and supported by our global team.
The right candidate will also be given the opportunity to lead projects or work streams within broader projects, so will need to be accountable for work of self and sometimes others, provides process and standards advice in area of specialty. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Configures, administers, upgrades, monitors, and supports trading applications and workflow. Responsible for service delivery across all technology domains and all consumers.
Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and working knowledge of related disciplines
Responsible for swiftly resolving disruptions to technology services to minimize user impacts and maintain service levels
Reviews the production readiness of technology solution implementations and application deployments and coordinates next steps across the involved teams
Works directly with multiple vendors and brokers to maintain and enhance our trading technology application suite
Oversees and provides guidance on analysis of performance trends and actions being taken for preventing potential impacts
Effectively uses logic as a problem-solving tool
Assists others when they need help and provides it in a positive way that promotes confidence
Proactively helps team members and makes suggestions to improve practices
Effectively manages first level trading triage
Leads projects or work streams within broader projects
Ability to work with large datasets to create ad-hoc reports
Accountable for work of self and sometimes others, provides process and standards advice in area of specialty
Works independently, receives minimal mentoring
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Business knowledge
Possesses solid understanding of the tech and asset management OR investment banking industries and internal business units to enable navigation of key partners and understanding of impact

Requirements
- Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience in at least 2 of the following technologies such as Splunk, SQL, Grafana and Unix and Windows DB queries.
- A demonstrable understanding of the broader technology portfolio including technical architecture and cloud based solutions (ideally AWS)
- Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies
- Maintains root cause analysis skills for investigation of incidents impacting technology availability
- Reviews capacity utilization for trends and raises awareness across teams to address areas of excess and shortages
- Administers processes and procedures related to code management
- Engages various teams to evaluate and implement performance tuning recommendations
- Available for 24x7 on call rotation (circ. 6 week rotation)
